Applying kumkum on forehead

According to Hindu culture there is a belief  that a woman looks prettier only when she applies bhindi or kumkum.

Since from my childhood I  have seen my mother applying kumkum also known as sindoor in between her eyebrows and yes, she did look pretty even when she did not apply it. I kept wondering why Hindu religion always insist on applying kumkum for ladies or gentleman in between their  eyebrows or just below the forehead. As I grew older I understood the main scientific reason behind applying kumkum in between the eyebrows. It is scientifically proven that it is a major nerve point in between the eyebrows . So every time when you press or apply a slight pressure in between the eyebrows, the nerve points are activated. It also help us  to increase our memory power.

The rhishis of ancient India understood this to be the seat of ajna chakra the centre of infinite intuition

It is also proven that applying fresher on ajna chakra there is proper blood circulation in face muscle.
